I took the Canon C100 to the beach for a little sun & fun! Cool little camera that works straight out of the box. I was shooting in Wide DR with WB settings between 5600-7800 Kelvin to see the differences. The 5600K seemed to be the sweet spot outside. Bradenton Beach was the perfect spot since you have two sides to the area to walk around; the bay side & the beach / Gulf side. The built-in ND filters worked great. I used the canon 24-105 F4 mostly and also the canon 100mm macro for a few shots. I wasn't out there shooting for long since this is Florida in June. The camera works great on the Manfrotto 561 monopod and didn't feel much different than the 5D on it.
Bradenton Beach is a nice small beach located at the southern end of Anna Maria Island. The Island is located at the southern entrance to Tampa Bay on the Gulf of Mexico. The pier is very cool to fish or just walk around on. Beware of the pelicans which will eat your bait or lunch if you aren't paying attention!
I edited in FCPX and just dropped the AVCHD clips right into the timeline with no issues.
