We designed Roasted for our spring Intro to Interaction Design class. The final prompt asked us to "redesign the coffee experience for individuals aged 20 to 30". Many enjoy drinking coffee but know little about the coffee they drink. They cannot distinguish between low end and high end coffee brews. Some know the difference and wish to roast their own beans but do not have the expertise to make the perfect roast. Our concept aims to provide anyone wanting to learn more about coffee and roast their own beans with a unique service that teaches you everything you want to know about coffee. Professional roasters often work as an apprentice for around 6 years before they are allowed to roast alone. Under the supervision of a professional coffee roaster, a customer can learn about the coffee roasting process, roast their own beans, and take them home. The shop is a perfect place to meet new people that share similar interests in coffee roasting.
