The English mathematician Seymour Papert developed LOGO and the associated TURTLE drawing language as a teaching aid for children. Whereas traditional computer drawing languages use a cartesian coordinate system with an x/y grid, TURTLE drawings are described in a relative manner, describing the trajectory of an imaginary turtle.
Matching TURTLE’S drawing instructions with Chinese drawing techniques as popularised by François Chastenet, we draw letters in the hall of the École Supérieure des Arts Valence.
