The spectator as an intruder
A kinetic installation of two lamps talking via light, which is exploring the communication of man and machine.
The Lamps are deep into an intimate conversation, until a curious spectator is coming too close and violating their sphere of privacy.
Both lamps feel disturbed and focus the intruder with their bright eye until a respectful distance is restored.
The direct looking at the spectator is inverting the voyeuristic relation of observer and observed, but also creating human traits.
Organic movement, subtle engineering and a barrier-free interface convey the impression of two living and individual beings.
