Kelly and Chad had an incredible wedding at the Blackhawk Auto Museum in Danville, CA. The day started at the San Ramon Marriott where we met up with the two as they made final preparations. It was an awesome time getting to meet their family and friends and learn a little about how the two met and all the things that brought them to this special day. I also discovered that, being a CHP officer, Chad packs a pretty wicked sidearm, so if the apocalypse or something gnarly were to go down, I knew who I'd be running towards. ;) After the last of the makeup was applied and pocket square folding was mastered, we made our way over to the museum.
When we arrived, I think my jaw hit the floor. Seriously, I'm pretty sure the museum staff hates me, 'cause drool was all over everything. Okay, maybe not, but as a car guy, seeing these beautifully restored vehicles was downright moving. From the '62 Rolls-Royce Phantom V and '29 Duesenberg Model J to the '55 Ferrari 750 Monza and 625 LeMans, this place had it all. And while the cars were all amazing, they definitely took a backseat to the love shared between Kelly and Chad.
I can't really think of a better way to describe it than two puzzle pieces that match up perfectly. In the same way a V16 in a '37 Cadillac Hartmann Cabriolet simply belongs, Kelly and Chad simply belong together. I could tell they were both a little nervous, but in a cool, collected way. I'm sure having four cameras pointed at them all day didn't help, but when they saw each other for the first time, it was like all the cameras, nerves and wedding craziness simply melted away. They were perfect for each other, and it showed. I have no doubts these two are going to have a long and epic marriage. A big, "Thanks," goes to Marisa and Dave for conspiring with them and inviting us to capture all of those special momentsI I only hope this trailer does justice to the beautiful awesomeness that is Kelly + Chad. Enjoy!
