Anya Mckee is dancer and maker based in Sydney, Australia. Working and training in contemporary dance, dance theatre, aerial dance, contact improvisation and improvisation techniques Anya is consistently working improve her skills as a performer. A WAAPA BA Arts (Dance) Honours graduate, Anya has performed as a dancer for Kate Champion’s Force Majeure, Strings Attached, Sam Chester, Dean Walsh, Sara Black, Kohzensha Butoh Company’s Artistic Director Yukio Waguri, 100 year old and original Bodenwieser company dancer Eileen Kramer, and performed along-side Gideon Obarzanek’s Chunky Move. Anya has also worked with Australia’s many independent choreographers during creative developments, among them Lisa Griffiths and Sue Healey. Currently Anya is dancing in projects with Aerial dance company Strings Attached and Sydney’s Dance Makers Collective.
