This is a video of a selection from Michele Schottenbauer's junior piano recital in 1996, performed in Washington D.C. The video shows Michele Schottenbauer performing selections from 24 Preludes, Op 11 (Nos. 13 & 18) and 12 Etudes, Op. 8 (Nos. 11 & 12, the latter which is also known as the “Revolutionary Etude”) by Alexander Scriabin. The home video recording was made by the pianist's father, Michael B. Schottenbauer. The copyrighted video uploaded to Vimeo was edited by Michele Schottenbauer. The pianist, who began studying piano formally at age 5, was 20 years old at the time of the recording, and had been studying piano with Marilyn Neeley for 2 years prior to this full-length recital. Other works on the program included Mozart, Schoenberg, Debussy, and Liszt.
