The founding of our school, in 1819, made it the first business school in Europe and the world. From very early on, our Alumni have brought the schools values of excellence, humanism and exchange, beyond the borders of France. This was also the case for the pioneering positioning of EAP, established in 1973 as a Pan-European business school with campuses in the hearts of European capitals.
In 2008, year of the French presidency of the European Union, it became essential for us to reaffirm our powerful European anchoring, our taste for sharing excellence and knowledge beyond borders, our commitment to bringing together the highest potentials to develop the most innovative projects around the world.
Our new name, ESCP Europe reflects this ambition by bringing expertise in management education, developed on five European campuses and at our sixty partner universities to the rest of the world, in order to seize the opportunities offered by globalization.
In this ever-changing world and reality, ESCP Europe must prepare its students for the professional environment by deploying the duel competency of constantly adapting to trends in the European employment market, and providing a reference point with constant, recognisable values for all.
The new logo clearly symbolises this aim: the star with five branches representing our five campuses reflects the mobility of ideas together with the intangibility of our values: openness and excellence.
Remaining faithful to its humanistic principles whilst anticipating the new ways of the world, such is the creed of Europe and such is the ambition of ESCP Europe.
Pascal Morand, Dean of ESCP Europe
