On Saturday 16 March 2013 at JAGS Holst Hall London SE22 The South Circular Orchestra gave a concert which included this piece from "The English Dancing Master", a country dance manual by John Playford. This dance was used in the 1995 BBC production of Pride and Prejudice for the scene of the Ball at Netherfield which focused on the smouldering interaction between Colin Firth's Darcy and Jennifer Ehle's Lizzie. The present performance is the World Premiere of a new arrangement by Roger Cawkwell commissioned by SCOre and danced by members of Slightly Ballroom.
The videography involved using two cameras from the balcony of the hall; A was an Ixus 130 and B an Android phone – neither of which are ideal as zooming is impossible or impracticable during shooting. All apparent zooming was created in post production.
