Noga Inbar and Louise Ashcroft explore the transformative power of a multitude of masks, which they insert into real situations as catalysts for action and conversation. The resulting work incorporates video, objects, images and text. Ashcroft and Inbar’s collaboration is an extension of a larger group project involving eight artists from the RCA Sculpture programme. For the degree show the group have created a collective context in the form of an architectural structure situated in the outdoor yard within which their individual and collaborative works are integrated. This physical structure develops the social structure and opens it up to other peers and the public through a programme of music and discussion events held within their temporary house space (sculpture yard.blogspot.com).
