The production of a live multi-camera performance and documentary film of the staging of Spring Awakening marked the continuation of over 5 years creative working with the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry. I was commissioned to produce a documentary film which incorporated a multi-camera edit of the production, woven together with interviews of the cast and crew, backstage and rehearsal footage and vox pops interviews with audience members.
Spring Awakening was staged by the Belgrade Theatre's Young Company and sought to tackle the challenging subjects of homosexuality, abortion, suicide and rape, first written about in this classic 19th Century tale by Frank Wedekind.
Further live multi-camera productions for the Belgrade Theatre have included: The Prodigals (2013), Playlist (2013) and All the Moves (2010).
Other selected drama and digital media projects commissioned by the Belgrade Theatre have included: Creative Gymnasium (2012), Trapped (2012), Night Out (2012), Exhibit A (2012), Thirteen (2011), One Day (2011), Friendly Fire (2010), Smokeless Fire (2009) and Chosen (2009).
