Eric Begnaud, 13, accepts the label. He lives in Los Alamos, New Mexico, where a majority of kids’ parents brandish Ph.D.s and the schools are among the nation’s best. Many students excel in math and the sciences. That’s normal – accepted and even expected here in the “Atomic City.” Yet, at times Eric’s “geekiness” can get the best of him.
