(This video is the first of a series documenting a rescued litter of 6 hoglets - Part1)
Litter of six very small hogets just admitted here at Willows Hedgehog Rescue. I popped the rescue cam on while I first examined & weighed them so people can see how small very young hoglets are & to stress what you should do if you disturb a hedgehog maternity nest.
They came in after their nest was disturbed (which I talk about during the video) and mum abandoned the hoglets. At this age mum can in fact kill her litter.
The buzzing in the background of the video is one of our incubators starting as the hoglets are freezing cold & will spend quite a few days in the incubator. They also need to be warm before any attempt is made to start feeding them.
