Here's another example of using the Doepfer A-155 Sequencer to manipulate audio signals. Eight audio samples are fed to the sequencer Row 2 inputs, in this case I use eight Jungle drum loops. A trigger pattern synced to the drum loops advances the sequencer and triggers a S+H module. The A-155 changes to a random step each time thanks to an A-154 Sequencer Controller. All the drum loops are always playing and are synced, so when a step is activated, it passes the part of the selected drum loop that is playing at that moment, rather than triggering that drum loop again. The result is similar to a DJ cross-fading between two beat-matched records, except there are eight records!
