Suture: The techniques used by film to make us forget the camera that is really doing the looking. Laura Mulvey argues there are three looks implied by film 1, the look of the camera itself, 2, the look of the audience watching the film 3, the look of the characters on screen ... Mulvey stated that women were objectified in film because heterosexual men were in control of the camera, that Hollywood films played to the models of voyeurism and scopophilia. Suture is one of my explorations into these feminist theories.
