“Breakfast in America” is a video performance that investigates the color spectrum and its existence within
everyday objects. The color spectrum provides a key for understanding aesthetic and
linguistic relationships between all objects. Ash Ferlito and Matt Taber place and organize objects
to depict the color spectrum and its role as a system.
Ash + Matt meet the summer of 2012 at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, one thing led to another and they found themselves standing knee deep in the gorgeous gooey aftermath of Teton.
