On June 22-23, the city of Hesperia hosted their Electronic Waste Recycling event. EWaste contains hazardous materials that have caused the State of California to prohibit them from landfills. Electronics contain many hazardous materials including lead, mercury, and cadmium which can be harmful to the environment.
An estimated 50 million tons of EWaste is produced each year. It is illegal to dispose of these materials in landfills or trashcans.
To dispose of your EWaste logon to your city's website to find an EWaste event, drop-off location, or to schedule a pickup.
