1 hour 15 minute real-time time lapse overlooking the Carbon River valley from a vantage point on nearby Cayada Mountain. Settings: GoPro Hero 3 Black, 5s interval, 7mp Wide, Spot Meter On, Protune Mode.
Just before starting this time lapse, I checked my battery and it said it was at 70%. I figured it would last and I was DEAD WRONG. This sequences stopped 10 minutes before sunset just as the colors of sunset really started to go off. At the very end, you can just begin to see Mount Rainier emerging from the clouds near the center of the frame.
Moral of the story- if you ask yourself if you should replace the battery (and you have a fresh one with you), the answer is YES!
