Health information technology shows tremendous opportunity to help addiction and behavioral health organizations achieve sustainability by improving outcomes and operational efficiency. This presentation will extend ideas in the recent article “The Case for Health Information Technology in Substance Abuse Treatment” by drilling into the experience of Centerstone of Indiana’s e-ROSC program. Funded by a SAMHSA technology grant, the Centerstone e-ROSC program is designed to expand Centerstone’s successful Recovery Oriented System of Care service model through web and mobile solutions. Rather than describing the project in detail (which has been covered in past presentations) this discussion will focus on lessons learned and will present early results for both outcomes and operations.
