Forgotten Things is a meditation on moviegoing in a time of anxiety. It’s January 1940, and before escaping into the world of the cinema, the newsreels force Americans to confront the world as it is, with war encroaching from all sides. Working with editor Dave Rock (winner of the L.A. Shorts Fest for his film "The Burying Beetle,") Writer/Director Nate DiMeo uses found footage, music, and narration to create a visual companion to his acclaimed podcast and public radio segment, The Memory Palace. The film was originally produced as a pilot for a documentary web-series.
