This weekend we failed to complete a 48 hour film festival. When I realized the last 3 minutes of our 6 minute short film would take over 4 hours to compress from 2.5k to 720 by 480 SD I got a bit worried as it was Sunday at 1pm and the film had to be submitted by 7:30pm. When the compression from Resolve finally finished I looked at a clip, called my buddy who was working on a different scene and said game over. I had exported at 24 fps and without audio in my quick (stupid) thinking. So the clips didn't have source audio to sync the real audio to and every clip was now in a nice slow motion.
SOOOOOOO what you see here is a 2.5k shot LA7200 on 11-16 Tokina colored in Resolve with a Fuji Film Lut with a few nodes, converted to 720 by 480 at 24fps!
We're going to finish the film, and it will be displayed at a standard 1080p with 2:35 crop BUUUUTTT this footage you see before you, kinda has a sentimental value. It represents creative passion and creative failure, all in one. ENJOY!!
