Al Malki winner of the race
The winner of the second race of QIRRCH that was cancelled two weeks ago due to the strong winds at Losail International Circuit was the Qatari BMW rider Nasser Al Malki. The second race of the sixth round took place yesterday after the Qualifying session of the seventh round. Al Malki who started from the pole position lead all the race from the beginning to the finish line and didn't give any chance to the Cudlin or Al Naimi to overtake him in any turn. Al Malki was a little stressed in the start of the race to be in the front but lap by lap he felt very confidence with his bike and he slow down the rhythm when he realized that he had a good gap with the other riders. Finally Al Malki finished the race with a gap of 7.019 from Mishal Al Naimi who was second. 'I hope to win the two races tomorrow for the last round and be second in the championship. I had bad luck at the beginning of the season and wish to continue the good results for me tomorrow' Al Malki said at the end of the race.
Al Naimi who started second in the grid had a bad start and went back to the fifth position but at the end he managed to pass Nina Prinz and be close to Alex Cudlin with who he had a tough battle until the last lap when he managed to overtake Cudlin and finished second. 'I am very happy with this result as this is very good for the championship and hope to do it better tomorrow in the races' Al Naimi said at the end of the race.
The third place was for Alex Cudlin who still have some problems with the suspension of this new Kawasaki bike and didn't find the right set up.
