Mayan Families is a non-profit organization operating in the highlands of Guatemala.
I spent some time with them earlier this year and was humbled by the people; their stories, their courage, and the volunteers that work within the Maya communities. They work tirelessly to provide opportunities and assistance to the indigenous and impoverished people through education and community development.
They are not government funded, have no religious affiliations and do not rely on large grants to carry out their work.
Their work is funded completely through donations, including small $10.00 or $25.00 gifts from individuals.
The majority of their donations come from donors like you.
