0:15, 0:25, 0:36, 0:39 - Benjamin Button - Setup HDR for lighting in Nuke, color timed sequence, cleaned up plate and removed spill. Composited multi-pass lighting renders into live action plate.
0:42, 0:45, 0:50, 0:53, 0:57, 0:59, 1:09 - Tron: Legacy - Setup HDRs in Nuke, fixed polarization and disparity between stereo plates, cleaned up plates and warped collars. Supervised glowline cleanup paint and roto. Keyed and composited background, also composited head renders and elements into the live action plates, all in stereo.
1:11, 1:13 - 2012 - Composited the background using computer generated as well as live action smoke, dust, sparks, and fire. Integrated lighting renders of Cessna, misc. elements, and subway train, then embellished to make as photoreal as possible. Built up explosion out of many cg and live action elements.
1:15, 1:22 - Oblivion - Pulled key and suppressed any extra blue, built up all cg background, using a projection environment, with cg fx smoke, ash, and embers added in. Computer generated drone lighting renders with fx thrusters distorting the background.
1:17 - Oblivion - Live action plate with computer generated ships composited in along with the projected environment in the background. Added shadows and painted some of them into the correct places.
1:23, 1:26 - Rock of Ages - Composited projected environment into the live action plate. Also added and embellished computer generated crowds made up of individual live action green screen actors and actresses on cards rendered out of a proprietary crowd tool integrated into Nuke, used at Digital Domain.
1:37 - G.I. Joe: Retaliation - Cleaned up live action plate then added cg tanks, integrated in with computer generated and live action smoke, embellished with a shack and foliage projections.
1:41 - Transformers: Dark of the Moon - Computer generated robots and shadows composited into a live action plate in stereo. Embellished and cleaned up multi-pass cg robots and reprojected one eye to the other in a few of the layers, in stereo, due to inconsistent popping of the spec and reflection between the eyes.
1:46, 1:48, 1:52 - Transformers - Computer generated multi-pass robot and shadow renders integrated into cleaned up plate. Projected bullet hits and glass smashes onto survey geometry, added cg smoke, muzzle flashes, and explosion.
1:57, 2:07 - I, Robot - Cleaned up background by re-creating scene in Nuke 3D, using a combination of painted plates, survey reference imagery, and stabilized, time blended sections of clean background. Composited in multi-pass renders of robot and embellished to get the desired look.
2:08, 2:11 - My Super Ex-Girlfriend - Composited projected backgrounds in with cg and live action smoke fire, and embers.
2:17, 2:22 - Peter Pan - Computer generated crocodile composited in with live action blue screen plate, keyed, and integrated in with a Nuke 3D projected and rendered environment.
2:23 - Peter Pan - Live action blue screen plate, keyed, and integrated in with a Nuke 3D projected and rendered environment.
2:26, 2:33 - Golden Compass - Nuke 3D projected environment cleaned up and detailed, as well as setting up mattes and placing cards inside building, with fire and smoke elements. Setup was used for a large number shots for the final battle scene.
2:38, 2:49, 2:55 - Stealth - First shot showing the cleanup and compositing of the stealth jet taking off. Second shot is a live action to Nuke 3D environment hookup sprialing down to another live action plate. Composited together with sparks, modeled lighting effects, dust dirt and blowing papers. Final shot uses a high-resolution image of Earth adding in a distortion shockwave and live action explosion.
