Voices of Conservation is an initiative inspired by the conservation heroes working in South Africa during the 1950s and 60s, such as Dr Ian Player. Dr. Player and his team instigated many of the conservation methods we now take for granted, such as tranquilising animals, and brought the southern white rhino back from the absolute brink of extinction. There is now a white rhino population of over.
The competition seeks to find the next generation of conservation heroes, passionate, eager and gutsy enough to put a stop to rhino poaching.
