Viridiana Almanza, coordinator of the Nebraska DREAMers Project coalition, speaks at a press conference on June 27, 2013 where representatives of more than 40 Nebraska organizations called on our U.S. Senators to support comprehensive immigration reform.
"Not one of us is whole without our families, and yet our immigration system separates parents and children, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters on a daily basis," Viridiana said.
"I am a proud daughter of immigrants, but I am most proud of being a Nebraskan," Almanza said. "I believe in my heart Nebraskans believe in the respect and dignity of all."
