This is a tutorial and walk-through of an unusual technique of printing a exoskeleton and furthermore it is explained how to grow electronic parts into the exoskeleton. The software is free. You need only a place that has a 3d scanner (Kinect or any other) and any 3d printer (I used an Orka).

Software that you need:
ReconstructMe (reconstructme.net/)
MeshLab (meshlab.sourceforge.net/)
Assimp View (assimp.sourceforge.net/)
Blender (blender.org/)
IvyGenerator (graphics.uni-konstanz.de/~luft/ivy_generator/)

Sorry for dropping so much beats in a tutorial but I couldn't resist to make it even more epic.

Music:

Making the Noise - Come Back
Rone - Bye Bye Macadam
Origami Sound - 2 Years - 90 Room
