Leaning suspiciously close to a home movie here is a Denvergence ode to Colorado's favorite winter pastime, shot at Winter Park Resort.
Winter Park is owned owned by the City and County of Denver and managed by Intrawest. You can get to Winter Park via Berthod Pass (40) by the Ski Train from downtown Denver.
With vast terrain and long rungs (the longest being 5.1 miles) Winter Park is a local favorite for those ski or ride. The resort connects to Mary Jane which has more difficult terrain to master (meaner blues, and blacks diamonds).
Though it offers all the amenities of a modern day resort , with plenty of growth and expansion underway, Winter Park is more relaxed and everyman as opposed to its more tony resort cousins, Vail, Aspen or Beaver Creek.
