The Change Whispers – A film about the Community correspondents network initiative is about 9 min.
Stories of neglect, deprivation and discrimination, which often fail to get into mainstream media, are now being captured on video by a network of community journalists hailing from backward districts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in India. Community Correspondent Network (CCN) has been launched by the Poorest Areas Civil Society ( pacsindia.org/ ), an initiative of DFID and the "India Unheard" campaign by Video Volunteers (VV), a NGO which trains "community journalists" in video production. The video content generated through the project and by the network will be available for use by the larger development communication and news distribution.
It’s a simple portrait of the community Correspondent Network in Madhya Pradesh, India that I made working out of a small shoulder bag with no assistants and minimal equipment. Filmed on Nikon DSLR and lenses. Audio: Sony ICD PX720 (It is not a good device for DSLR filmmakers). Picture Profile: standard . Software: Final Cut Pro 7.0.3
