A Minute Forever is a short musical film with a romantic twist that is almost entirely sung through. Our story is about a young woman, on the verge of ending her life, who is serendipitously interrupted by a burglar breaking in to her home.
This short musical film was shot in Los Angeles over one weekend back in 2012. A passion project that came to life with the contribution and participation of its makers- my amazing friends and family.
A Minute Forever, the 6 minute musical, unfolds in front of a Los Angeles night skyline where Athena, played by Netta Most (Criminal Minds, Six Feet Under), is prepared to jump off her apartment high-rise to end her own life. At the precise moment of her planned jump, music wafts through the air from none other than her own apartment. Delaying her own death for a moment, Athena decides to investigate only to find a burglar, played by Will Collyer (Melrose Place, CSI: Miami) in her apartment. The unlikely meeting of a burglar, caught mid-robbery, and a depressed damsel, caught mid-suicide, becomes a sometimes humorous and above-all moving moment in the cinema. This musical's beautiful melodies, composed by the Cuban-born Carlos Jose Alvarez (Cubamerican, 9) will have audiences singing along and hoping for their own unlikely romance.
