A stark study of form and line in the urban environment.
Lee McLauglin is a Choreographer who has worked with Cheshire Dance since the age of 13 years old. He is a graduate from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds (UK) and Halton College (Widnes, Cheshire, UK). McLaughlin has performed in numerous shows, including a re-working of 'Stravinsky's Firebird Concerto' at Liverpool Cathedral (UK) with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Other places he has been enaged as professional Choreographer and Dancer are The Place (the UK’s premier centre for contemporary dance), Chester Gateway Theatre and the Random Dance Company at the Menai Centre. McLaughlin has collaborated with Tom Roden (Choreographer and Artist Director of the Air Dance Company) and the New Art Club. He has bee contracted across many of the UK’s leading dance companies, institutions and venues. Taking inspiration from other artistic practices, he explores the expressive possibilities of everyday environments, movements within these spaces and the bodies relationship.
