This is a video of the behind the scenes work done in Duke University's Gross Anatomy lab. The collaborative team, made up from several groups on campus, was there to capture a high quality/high resolution video for instructional purposes. The procedure captured by the team was the brain extraction of a cadaver.
As part of this collaboration, Sony Electronics brought one of their 4K cameras to record alongside Duke's HD camera. In addition, a 4K monitor was used to see the incredible detail of the shots. The 4K camera is 4 times the resolution of an HD camera.
This video introduces you to the crew and then short clips from the set up and shooting of the procedure.
Videography and editing by Rick Melges, Duke School of Medicine
