This video shows me and my family visit the beautiful Japanese Tea Garden located deep in the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA.
We headed here after coming from the Embarcadero. The sun had also come out a bit after much of the day so far being gloomy and drizzly. It wasn't cold at all despite the gloominess due to the weather....thanks to an unusually warm storm system that was still leaving the region. It was a fairly small garden so we walked around the perimeter/paths while enjoying what the garden has to offer. It felt like I was really in Japan. There were also Koi fish around the ponds and there were a few small waterfalls around the garden. The funnest part was climbing that very steep walk bridge. My mom also managed to accomplish walking up and over it! We later proceeded to the SF Botanical Garden which was just across the street from the Japanese Tea Garden (shown on another video).
**Our day around the city in summary: We first went to the farmer's market along the Embarcadero. Then we went inside the Ferry Building to get some snacks and looked around a bit. Then we ate a bit of our late lunch around the farmer's market area. Following lunch, we headed towards the back of the Ferry Building, around the ferry docks and took in the beautiful views of the San Francisco Bay and the Bay Bridge. Afterwards, we walked down the Embarcadero, enjoying more of the views, sights and sounds while enjoying the mild weather. By the afternoon hours, we went to San Francisco's huge Golden Gate Park! We went to the Japanese Tea Garden and the San Francisco Botanical Garden. To end the day, we ate at the Toyose restaurant, which is located along Noriega St, between 45th Ave and 46th Ave. Long day but it was fun!
