'Messages from Taiga' is a documentary film featuring the old growth forest in Far East Russia and the indigenous people still living with the forest pursuing their tradition of hunting and gathering. But just like other natural environment on the earth, this forest has been also facing the danger of destruction. 'Taiga' where Udege, the indigenous people are still active has been miraculously protected to this day, because the forest is their home and their life. The film is an introduction to this amazing primary forest and the life of Udege still deeply connected to lives within the nature, and is also a question to all of us in this contemporary world as to how we are going to live and die in the future ahead.
