s. Oliver was the main sponsor for the ‘Rock am Ring’ Festival 2012 and to mark the occasion they decided to organise a band contest. Of the 200 bands that applied, three were chosen to go on a tour of Germany, playing gigs to compete for first prize: the chance to play at ‘Rock am Ring’ Festival. The road trip took place over four weeks, accompanied by four individually designed VW camper vans and a stage truck.
The winning band—Blind Freddy—went down a storm with the festival crowd, as did s.Oliver’s other initiatives such as the Color Splash slingshot event, the s.Oliver dome tent, with its 360° video installation, a s.Oliver pop-up show room and a s.Oliver VIP lounge.
Agency Services: StudioNOW was responsible for the concept and creation of the event campaign and worked together with the agency AAA.events to plan, organise and realise the event.
