He survived to live a life forever changed by a repeat drunk driver. Now a Sheriff's Deputy is sharing his story to discourage people from drinking and driving.
Deputy Robert Hubert works at Central Jail. He was on his way home in his motorcycle in Hillcrest back in April when a drunk driver crashed into him. He woke up in the hospital four days later. Every step is a challenge because he broke several bones in his spine, rib cage, thigh, and knee. He wants people to know there are serious consequences to drinking and driving and he hopes his story saves lives.
Get well wishes for Deputy Hubert can be mailed to the San Diego Central Jail at 1173 Front Street, San Diego, CA 92101.
