First conceived and performed at Old 505 Theatre in April 2013, Macondo's Clothesline is a voyeur's dream of a disillusioned 'person' who threw themselves out of a window. Devised with a Gabriel Marquez story as inspiration, this piece aims to explore isolation through suicide, finding the absurd in domestic tragedies and clandestine bliss with found-object puppetry, live music and dance choreography.
We're now in stage 2 of the creative development process - stay tuned for the next public showing.

Márquez Laundry is a theatre company with the goal of creating stories in multiple visual theatre formats, combining object theatre & puppetry, live music, dance and movement choreography. We strive to touch your hearts and break it a little as well. The work created aims to be original and ensemble devised. A basic concept is introduced to begin the process of creation and pieces of visual theatre are developed along the way; from conceiving new characters and scenes to breathing new life into everyday objects.
