Ah, Manaslu, Nepal. Eight highest mountain in the world. Swoon.
If ever there was a place to run, this is it.
Run, eat daal bhat, run. What more is there in life?
Here's a little look back at a little run a few hardy souls did late in 2012. Called the Manaslu Trail Race.
Only a madman could have dreamed it up and only men with big kahunas* could have put it on. This is the only time in my life I'll say this: God bless madmen with big kahunas.
And it's on again...this coming November. You may need a few kahunas* of your own to take it on...
(NOTE: low re version - excuse the banding. Higher res being worked on!)
(*balls, testicles, bravery. Not that I'm saying women aren't brave, no, not at all. Some of the bravest on this event were the women! (Helicopter evacuations: men 4 women:2. Make your own judgements.) Look, let's not turn this into a debate about ill conceived commentary and sexism, I'm just trying to say that the two fellas that put this thing on are brave human beings, alright? Kudos to them. Kahunas or otherwise. :)**
** can you tell I wrote this when it was late? Kilter. Off.
