The Sydney Diocesan Archives of the Anglican Church has a collection of records created by officers of the Diocese of Sydney, in the pursuit of their administrative duties, since 1836, the year in which the Diocese of Australia was created. Louise discusses the role of the Sydney Diocesan Archives, which is a private, ‘in-house’, business, and academic research archive, giving special attention to some of the key documents in the collection.
Dr Louise Trott is the Sydney Diocesan Archivist for the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney. She holds a PhD, her thesis topic was ‘The Representation of Women as Witches in Old Icelandic Family Sagas’.
