This is the second of my first night of time lapse photography..
After seeing Tom and Philip's time lapse magic, I set out to try it myself. My very first vid, which I'm going to post, I consider a big FAIL as I was the organic panning motor and all of my little inconsistencies showed when I actually threw it in a 30p timeline. Still it was pretty cool for my first. I'll never forget my first...
For this shot, I situated the tripod as far back as humanly possible then ratchet strapped it down for some artificial weigh action. I set the camera to shoot a 1 second exposure every second and off I went. this video turned out to be about 670 frames over the course of about 15 miles..
I had the windows up and the A/C on and thought I'd let a bit more light in half way through the trip and the Maui humidity took over my 20mm lens. In the end, I actually kinda like it, it feels a little back-to-the-futuresqe and that makes me happy.
The sounds you hear are actually me doing some high speed realtime ADR. I love the Zoom H4n just for this exact reason, it's so fun and flexible. I also realized my Redheads work pretty well as POP filters. Nice. you learn something new every day.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy..
