Private First Class Bradley Manning was the official Grand Marshal of San Francisco Pride 2013. Since he couldn't attend, famous whistle blower Daniel Ellsberg sat in for him. Ellsberg, whose release of the Pentagon Papers exposed government lies and helped end the Vietnam War, was proud to stand in for Manning, and called him an American hero.
