This video illustrates a unique perspective in the rescue of a 22 yo male subject who injured his ankle at 5100' Pilchuck. On Friday, Snohomish County Search and Rescue responded to help the subject; however, they could not safely evacuate him. Snohawk10 was dispatched to assist. Given the thick cloud cover, Snohawk10 was unable to insert a rescue team and returned to base. Mountain rescuers from Everett, Skagit and Olympia continued to hike in to reach the subject and keep him stable and warm overnight. On Sat, Snohawk10 returned and was able to hoist the subject out and to a waiting aid car. Photos were taken by Robert Privott, at the Pilchuck lookout tower and video was captured from inside the cockpit plus by Chris Moriarty, an Everett Mountain Rescue member on the ground.
