A short film showing the pulse and innovation behind the scenes of Britain's leading news brand, both from an editorial and commercial perspective. Instead of a traditional scripted voice-over, an edit of five hours of recorded conversation with key members of staff such as the editor in chief, Tony Gallagher, director of content, Richard Ellis and social media editor, Kate Day was used.
We recognised that this piece was primarily driven by the conversation. Our role was to find the correct balance of tone and relevance for the music and sound design. Whilst factual, the movie tips towards a more creative approach to a corporate vehicle - this had a meaningful knock on effect to the mood of the music in that it had to be intriguing yet grounded, contemporary yet considered. Sound design was layered with location recordings captured by Simon Batchelor, providing an accurate portrayal of the Telegraph's character. Subtlety was the key in any additional movements and foley.
