Table snapshotting is a new Apache HBase 0.94.6+/0.95+ feature that introduces the ability to quickly capture the data in a table with little impact to the cluster as well the ability to rollback or make read-write clones of a table. In this talk, Cloudera's Jon Hsieh and Matteo Bertozzi and Salesforce.com's Jesse Yates look at some of the history, describe use cases, dive into the internals that make snapshots possible.
