Glenn Martinez of Olomana Gardens has created yet another aquaponics triple, double cinder beds that gets it water from the 180 gallon fish tank pushed by using an air pump feature that moves the water through and up into the bio-filter. The bio-filter cinder beds will breathe (inhale and exhale) through the cinders by the ebb and flow from the siphon that controls how much water will fill up in the cinder bed before the flush. Then the water will get released into the deep trough beds, which the plants will grow in the water.
The water then returns from the float beds back to the fish tank all nice and clean. Amazing stuff and good vegetable garden growing.
It's all about organic, natural food source. Try it, taste it, and see why you should grow your own food.
