The Science Museum asked Digicave to create an advanced 3D augmented reality tour of the Modern World exhibition, featuring James May. Digicave placed pre-defined objects and markers around the museum that could be scanned by visitors using mobile devices. This then triggered a digital version of TV presenter James May, offering extra entertainment and information around the exhibition.
The App was developed for iOS and Android with a reach of 250 million people.
It gained critical aclaim and achieved Digicave the title of BBC Click’s ‘Most Innovative Mobile Technology of 2012’ award. The Science Stories App has also has been nominated for a ‘Consumer & User Experience’ award at The Digitals.
