Art as Salve is a part of the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Curatorial Program.During the program, we'll be learning why and how the exhibition came about, we'll go on a behind the scenes tour, and in the process come to better understand and appreciate the exhibition’s overall mission and response to the two questions it poses: How might art function as a holistic intervention for survivors of oppression and violence? What would happen if art was used as a symbol for healing? In addition, we'll find out about some the New Art Center’s upcoming programming and it’s noteworthy BIPOC Curatorial Program.
