Point Break is an app providing a complete and elegant overview of surfing conditions at nearby and favorited spots.
The app design focuses mainly on information structure, as current apps often are rich in content, but tricky to use. People centered research brought to light the key data surfers are looking for. As they tend to follow the conditions closely, a quick and convenient way of getting an overview of the frequently used data was essential.
The app is straightforward: A list view features an integrated map and data solution to correlate wind and swell directions to geography. As time is an important factor, a global time slider gives you an instant look into the future, and a good feeling of the current trend. The main navigation consists of nearby, favourites and search for easy access, whether you’re a local or travelling. Detailed information like tides, temperature, directions and webcam is only a tap away.
