The Clydesdale horses that work the Horse Drawn Tramway live on 100 acres of lush tree-fringed pastureland along one bank of the Hindmarsh River. At dawn they can be found out in the pasture calmly grazing. Few peple approach them out here in their domain, so at first they become alert, then curious and then come to investigate. Usually they make their own way up to the paddock feed shed shortly before the routine arrival of one of the staff. They know that they will each enjoy a feed of lucerne hay (alfalfa) before the horses scheduled to work that day head off to the Causeway stable.

Meet the team, including the new addition JJ, and find out each horse's birth year.
