The Johnson Center for Philanthropy is one of the select institutions in the country focused on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the charitable sector—and they do it really well.

Their work is incredibly researched, data driven, and comprehensive. But lest you think their academic environment makes them out of touch with real world practicum, this story shows just how relevant what they do is for those whose feet are squarely on the ground.

Production Notes and Thanks:
Special thanks to the Johnson Center personnel, Nkechy Ezeh and the ELNC, and to Cindy Rico and her son Martin for their willingness to let us invade their schedules and homes for two days to do this story. It was an inspirational experience for us and a tangible demonstration of people pursuing their passions and callings at a high level (we met some impressive people!) - individually and in collaboration. We shot the story a Sony PMW-F3 with SLog and RED zooms. We used a steadicam for the walking shots and a slider in a few select places.
